"I did get up to DILLON'S to catch David Auxier's "Family Affair" holiday show at 7:30 pm. I had missed it when it was performed earlier this fall. The show was truly a treat ... members of the cast included one familiar performer, Hector Coris plus some very talented folks I had never seen before: Steve Cancel, Suzanne Scott, David Wells and Darlene Majewski. The show included a number of original tunes by several members of the cast, and it was truly a fun evening ..."

DAVID AUXIER hails from Omaha, NE via a short layover at Oklahoma City University. He's spent most of his New York life singing … well … whatever chance he gets! His favorite role has got to be the Sergeant of Police (Pirate of Penzance) because he has done it at Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, on tour with the NY G&S Players all over North Carolina & Georgia, in concert in Brooklyn, and in SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA in their National Tour as a last minute replacement. He also loved playing Ambrose Kemper in Hello, Dolly! with JoAnne Worley and Cosmo Brown in Singin' in the Rain opposite Lara Teeter. In 2008, David has spent a lot of time working with the NY G&S Players, first in their City Center run as the Sergeant of Police (Pirates of Penzance), Guron (Princess Ida), and as book writer and Walter (G&S a la Carte - a revue) - and continuing on as ensemble/featured dancer in HMS Pinafore tours around the country. In 2007 David the City Center run with NYGASP playing The Grand Vizier in Rose of Persia and Pooh-bah in The Mikado. This was followed by two great times with Mark York! First doing a reading of Mark's musical The Porker Sisters at the York Theater, and then a benefit performance of George White's Scandals where he got to perform not only with the likes of Helen Gallagher, Martin Vidnovic, Jane Summerhays, Sarah Rice, Meg Busert and Penny Fuller, but he also got to perform with and meet the royal queen of cabaret Julie Wilson, who also hails from good old Omaha, NE. And now this bio has come full circle!
STEVE CANCEL's NYC credits include Peter in The Heidi Chronicles, Sharing, A Glimpse Of The Light and most recently The George White Scandals featuring Arlene Dahl and Helen Gallagher. He has sung at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center (Alice Tully Hall and New York State Theatre) and New Jersey Performing Arts Center with Riverside Choral Society and has sung in chamber choir for Mark Morris Dance Group’s production of L’Allegro, Il Pensaro ed il Moderato at Lincoln Center as part of the Mostly Mozart Festival. Steve thanks Tony for all his love and support. “Life Is A Cabaret”. www.myspace.com/netvana
